About
LATAM Atlas is a reference for people choosing a city to move to in Latin America. Not a blog or an agency: only verifiable facts with a source and a check date.

Who is behind it
The project is run by one person who is picking a city in Argentine Patagonia and writes down everything that can be verified along the way. No company, developer or agency pays for a mention here. If that changes, it will be stated plainly on the fact page.
What “verified N of 14” means
Every city has the same list of 14 questions a family asks before moving: documents, rent, heating, internet, schools, healthcare, safety, budget. The counter shows how many of them we already have a verified answer to. We don’t hide the gaps: an open question is more honest than an invented answer.
Where the facts come from
Every fact is tied to a source, and every source has a type. The type shows how far a claim can be trusted:
- Official
Law, government agency, official rules
- Specialist
Lawyer, realtor, doctor: a licensed professional
- Lives there
A person who actually lives in this location
- One-off case
A private case or unconfirmed information
We are not a “source”. We are an editor: we collect, cross-check and set the check date. Facts older than six months are marked as outdated until they are rechecked.
What you won’t find here
- Legal advice: check critical questions with a qualified specialist.
- Personal stories and opinions: only what can be verified.
- Ads and affiliate links.
