Privacy policy
Short and in plain words: what data we receive, why we need it, and how to delete it.
Effective October 4, 2026
What we receive
- Google sign-in: your email, name, and profile photo. We never see or receive your Google password.
- Telegram sign-in: your Telegram account number, name, username, and photo. Telegram does not share your phone number with us. Telegram will ask whether the atlas bot may message you; it never sends ads.
- Email sign-in: only the email address where the code or link is sent.
- What you write yourself: your profile (name, city, bio, contacts, photos), your answers to questions, and your corrections to facts.
Why
- So you can sign in without a password.
- To show your profile and your answers under your name.
- We never show your email to anyone and never use it for newsletters or ads.
Where it is stored
- Accounts, profiles, and answers are stored in a Supabase database. The site is hosted on Vercel.
- Sign-in codes and links are emailed through the ZeptoMail service.
- For the English version of the site, the text of a published profile (headline, about, family, topics, languages, services, photo captions) is machine-translated once: it is sent to the OpenRouter service and Google’s Gemini language model. Your name, contacts, and email are not sent.
- To keep you signed in, the site sets one session cookie and one hint cookie for the header. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we don’t share it with
- We do not sell your data or share it with ad networks, partners, or the specialists listed in the catalog. The services above receive only what they need to work: storage, email, translation.
- Only what you publish yourself in your profile and answers is visible to others.
How to delete it
- Email info@latamatlas.com from the address you signed in with, or tell us your Telegram, and we will delete your account, profile, and answers and let you know when it’s done.
